Our club rules:

1. ONE WAY ROUND THE TRACK ONLY!

2. No Powerboys batteries - Banned for safety reasons.

3. Only remove cars from the track if it’s on FIRE, no shell on car or missing wheels!

4. No walking on the track at anytime.

5. Keep kids under control. (no running around)

6. Keep your area tidy and put rubbish in the bins at the end of the table.

7. Have a fun and enjoy your day of racing.



Rules & Regs

Formula Rules

All cars must be presented for scrutineering.

ABS Bangers

1. No turning round during the races and final, save it for the DD.

 

2. No person to enter the track during any race! .

Once a car is entered into a race it should not be removed until the race has ended.

(only exception is if the car is on fire or close to it)

 

3. If a car is knocked out of the track during a race it can be put back in except for the final and DD.

 

4. Only Mechanical speedo's to be used, No esc's.

4a  only one shell to be used  per meeting

 

5. No internal or external bumpers are allowed.


Rookie Bangers



2ltr Stock Cars

1. driving clockwise only

 

2. No person to enter the track during any race!

 

3. cars must be removed from track if a wheel/tyres comes off

 

4. At the beggining of every race cars must line up according to roof grades which are marked on track

 

5. Tyre addative is not permitted


1300 Stock Cars

1. Drive one way round the track only!

2. No person to enter the track during any race!

3. Cars must be removed from track if a wheel/tyres comes off, shell comes off or if its on fire.

4. At the beggining of every race cars must line up promptly and according to roof grades which are marked on track.

5. Front wheel bearing are permitted.

Construction Rules.

ABS bangers and Rookie Bangers.

1. Chassis and Shell must have a ground clearance of 3mm.


2. Solid rear axle only.


3. G2 brushed motor or Saturn 20 turn.


4. 4.8v Nimh batteries only. (PowerBoys Banned - safety reasons)


5. Transponder must be fixed onto the car and not the body shell.


6. No aero foils permitted.


7. Ally chassis 2mm or 3mm. (No GRP chassis)


8. Wishbone protectors allowed.


2ltr stock cars.

1. Chassis and Shell must have a ground clearance of 3mm.


2. Solid rear axle only - no diffs permitted.


3. Upto 7.4v/G2 brushed or 17.5t brushless,3.7v lipo/10.5t brushless


4. ABS shells only with windows cut out - Mondeo or Sierra.


5. Non metalic external bumpers must be fitted (grid style on front)


6. Transponder must be fixed onto the car and not the body shell.


7. No aero foils permitted.


8. Maximum length including bumpers to be 356mm.


9. Front wheel bearings are allowed.

Alloy banger rules



1. Shells must be made from 0.5mm aluminium and must be a single layer. No double skins.

2. Maximum size pop rivets to be used is 2.4mm.

3. Maximum size nuts and bolt to be used is m3 5.5mm. If using nuts on outside of shell the thread must be cut flush to the nut. Bonnet bolts can have a maximum of 3mm of thread showing. No more than 4 bolts in the bonnet and no more than 6 bolts/ cable ties in the boot.

4. Shells are to represent a full size car. Windows must be cut to correct size for that car.

5. Door plates may be added but must be no thicker than 2mm (any material can be used)

6. Custom h-frames/cages can be used with side impact bars but must be no bigger than 1cm/10mm box. (Highly recommend using side impact bars as this will prevent a and b pillars from snapping)

7. Shells can not be mounted using plastic posts! The can be mounted straight to the chassis or wishbones using m3 nuts and bolts. You can also use a subframe/ cradle, these can be made from any material. Front lower part of the cradle must not be higher than 10mm of the chassis. You must be able to see at least 30mm of the chassis plate from the front in the centre. The rear upright of the cradle must be no further forward than the wheels. Bonnet must be able to be removed. If using an engine this must represent a real engine that can be used in that car in full scale. Shells must not be mounted further Back than the h-frame/cage. An additional bulkhead mount can be used but there must be a 10mm away from the doors.

8. Repairs. Repair plates maybe added. They must be on the inside where possible, if not possible then they must be painted the same colour as the car when returned for the next meeting.

9. Plastic or jelby bendy alloy wishbones can be used. No grp wishbone protectors.

10. Nothing can be bolted behind the motor pod.

11. Any Mechanical speed controller can be used and the only electric speed controller to be used is the Kamtec k1.
